Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Urban Hai at (404) 549-8181; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, urbanhai.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 909 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Atlanta and suggests consistent service.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Really enjoyed this place with my family. The food was served very quick, while still being hot and delicious. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out how they did it. The staff and service was out of this world. My son spilled water and within seconds 3 employees came over to clean it up and check on us. From a FOH perspective everything seemed smooth and efficient. Constant checking on us, clearing the table, at the very end there was nothing to clean except for water cups. Thank you for the experience and wish this restaurant much success.

Great food, affordable prices, nice inside. Service is speedy, friendly and attentive. They validate parking for the 77th and 12th deck for 2 free hours. Ordered 2 soups (duck and hot & sour), Szechuan chili dumplings, crispy pork belly and calamari. All were delicious! Soup and the small plates were more than enough for 2, but the appetizer was also delicious! Will be back!

Every dish we tried was good. Cumin lamb, hot oil fish, chicken, numbing veggies were all an instant with our family and friends. The seczuan flavors were just perfect. Service was superfast. We ordered 10 dishes and we were out in 50 minutes!!

We got really good service and the food was really good. We went as a large group and did not wait for long. All the food was served hot. We like all the spicy Chinese food - they were not too spicy. Szechuan chili was so amazing with all stir-fried. Xiao long paos were also good - served in steam baskets. My Thai tea was not too sweet - I like it. The price was also not too expensive.

Was caught between 3-4 stars for this place but for me it comes down to the food. So even though the staff is extremely nice and food comes out fast, it’s just not the best. The meat is very oily which you get with food from the Szechuan region so be prepared for that. Spice level was good (we love spicy food) but everything just felt lesser quality. The chili dumplings tasted like previously frozen with a little spicy sauce poured on top and the flavors didn’t complement each other. The duck rolls were doused in this very sweet almost caramel flavored sauce that was super overpowering and even the rice didn’t taste like great quality. It could just come down to a matter of preference however I’ve eaten all types of Asian food in the states and abroad and this restaurant was a one time visit for us. Also- absolutely not worth it for the Midtown parking situation alone.
